These terms govern your use of njcontractorsinsurancecenter.com (the "site"), operated by Friedlander Associates, Inc. NJ Contractors Insurance Center is the contractor insurance program of Friedlander Associates, Inc., a licensed New Jersey insurance agency since 1987. All insurance business is transacted by Friedlander Associates, Inc.
Informational and intake purpose
The site is an informational and quote-intake tool. Nothing on it constitutes an offer to bind coverage or a guarantee of insurability.
Quotes are estimates, not policies
- Quotes presented or discussed are estimates. Coverage is bound only when a carrier accepts your application and issues a policy.
- Coverage descriptions on this site are general summaries. Your actual policy form, endorsements, exclusions, limits, and conditions control in all cases.
- Premium ranges shown anywhere on the site are illustrative and not a quote for your specific operation.
Accuracy of information you provide
Insurance quoting and binding depend on accurate information. Misrepresentation or omission on an application can affect pricing, coverage, and a carrier's obligation to pay a claim. Provide complete and accurate information on the intake.
Geographic scope
Friedlander Associates, Inc. writes commercial insurance for contractors in New Jersey. The site is directed at New Jersey operations. Coverage descriptions, premium ranges, and regulatory references throughout the site reflect New Jersey law and the New Jersey market, and should not be relied on for work or operations in any other state.
General information, not advice
Everything published on this site — coverage explainers, trade and county pages, articles, cost guides, and excerpts from books written by Jeff Friedlander — is general information about insurance concepts. It is not advice about any specific policy, contract, claim, or situation, and reading it does not create a producer-client relationship.
Our books are written for contractors as general education. A chapter explaining how additional insured endorsements work is not the same thing as a licensed producer reading your actual endorsement. Coverage questions about your own program get answered by a licensed producer looking at your actual policy — not by a page on this site.
Third-party links and the Crazy Rich Contractors reference
The site links to third-party destinations we do not control — including Amazon, where our books are sold, and Crazy Rich Contractors (CrazyRichContractors.com), a separate business operated by a separate legal entity. References to Crazy Rich Contractors are informational only; services from that business are not conditioned on the purchase of insurance, and insurance is not conditioned on the purchase of those services. We may update these terms. When we do, we revise the effective date at the top of this page and post the updated version here. Continued use of the site after an update means the revised terms apply. Material changes are not applied retroactively to a submission you already made.
